❅ Intermediate Backcountry Week
This is great if you consider yourself a strong resort skier or snowboarder and you’re curious about the world of backcountry and you’d like to hone in your touring and avalanche skills. Our certified IFMGA guides will guide you through companion rescue, choosing the right terrain, transitions, skin track techniques, etc.
Perfect for someone who is:
- first-time backcountry rider
- less than 5 times in the backcountry
- comfortable in at least 350m elevation gain in a day
- Looking for a safe space to learn, ask questions, and improve their backcountry knowledge and skills
Intermediate Week: 15-22nd of August 2026
⛰︎ Advanced Backcountry Week
This is great for those who already have the basic backcountry skills and would like to improve them, in more steeper terrain. Bootpacking couloirs, sleeping in the backcountry huts, etc.. for those who’d like to summit peaks and know their avalanche equipment and their touring gear very well.
Skill level:
- 2 or more seasons in the backcountry (10-30 days ski touring)
- comfortable carrying a 50-pound backpack with overnight gear
- comfortable riding blacks, icy slopes, and a variety of terrain
- comfortable with long (8 hours+) days
- comfortable boot packing with skis/board on the backpack
- someone who knows their gear well and is proficient in companion rescue
Advanced Week: 23-30th of August 2026
